Community Guidelines

Last updated: February 2026

Kooking is a community for people who love food, cooking, and sharing what they make. To keep it safe, friendly, and inspiring, we ask everyone to follow these Community Guidelines. By using Kooking, you agree to them and understand that breaking them may lead to content removal or account suspension.

Share Food Content Only

Kooking is all about cooking and recipes. Keep your posts focused on food.

  • What’s allowed: recipes, step photos, finished‑dish shots, cooking tips, kitchen hacks, pantry ideas, grocery and meal‑prep content.
  • What’s not allowed: unrelated selfies, off‑topic memes, non‑food promotions, or any general content that isn’t about cooking or eating.

Be Respectful and Kind

We want Kooking to feel welcoming for everyone. Treat others the way you’d want to be treated.

  • No hate speech, bullying, or harassment.
  • No slurs, threats, or discriminatory language toward any group.
  • Debate is fine; personal attacks are not. Keep feedback constructive and about the food, not the person.

Keep It Authentic

Kooking works best when people share real experiences and give credit where it’s due.

  • Share your own recipes, photos, and stories when you can.
  • If you adapt or import a recipe from somewhere else, keep the source link that Kooking shows and credit the original creator when appropriate.
  • Don’t mislead people with fake claims (for example, exaggerated health benefits or “miracle” results).

Safety, Health, and Accuracy

Food safety matters. Please think about how others will use your content.

  • Don’t promote dangerous practices (for example, clearly unsafe cooking temperatures or handling raw food in a way that could make people sick).
  • Be careful with health‑related claims; if you mention them, they should be reasonable and not medical advice.
  • Remember that people of different skill levels are using your recipes—clarity beats clickbait.

Keep It Family‑Friendly

Kooking is meant to be a comfortable space to scroll and cook at any time of day.

  • Avoid explicit, sexual, or violent content in text, photos, or videos.
  • No graphic imagery, shock content, or offensive language in posts, comments, or usernames.

No Spam or Aggressive Promotion

We’re here for cooking, not constant ads.

  • Don’t post repetitive, low‑effort, or obviously automated content.
  • Personal projects (blogs, channels, cookbooks) are welcome when they’re shared naturally and add value—please don’t treat Kooking as an ad network.
  • Do not run scams, giveaways that break platform rules, or misleading promotions.

Respect Intellectual Property

Only post content you have the right to share.

  • Don’t upload recipes, photos, or videos that you don’t own or don’t have permission to use, especially paid or behind‑a‑paywall content.
  • When you use Kooking’s import tools to save a recipe from the web, we show a link back to the original site to credit the creator. If you are a rights holder and believe your content appears in Kooking without permission, you can contact us and we’ll review and may remove it.

Account Responsibility

You’re responsible for what happens on your account.

  • Keep your login details secure and don’t share them with others.
  • Don’t impersonate other people, brands, or creators.
  • Don’t create multiple accounts to evade blocks, reports, or enforcement.

Reporting & Moderation

Help us keep Kooking safe by reporting content that breaks these guidelines.

  • Use the in‑app Report option on a recipe, comment, or profile when something feels abusive, harmful, or clearly off‑topic.
  • Our team reviews reports and may remove content, limit features, or suspend accounts depending on the severity and pattern of behavior.

We may also remove or limit content that, while not explicitly listed above, goes against the spirit of these guidelines or our Terms of Service.

Engage Positively

Kooking is more fun when everyone contributes in good faith.

  • Follow cooks you enjoy and let them know when you try their recipes.
  • Share honest ratings and comments that help others cook better.
  • Celebrate different cultures, cuisines, and skill levels—there’s room for everyone.

Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines over time as Kooking grows. If we make big changes, we’ll let you know through the app or our website.
